The Legendary Marauder

Imagine you could have the best of all worlds. A classic car so rare that people don’t know what it is, but you can still get parts. An open top British sports car, but it’s viceless and built to go on forever. An open grand tourer built to the spec of an executive car. A car of extraordinary beauty but created without a design department or focus groups. This, dear reader, is the legendary Marauder.

In 1950 a group of talented engineers from Rover formed a new business, Wilks Mackie and Co, to design and build the Marauder with mechanicals from the recently launched Rover 75. There is more about the history and the cars in the links on this website.

2025 is the 75th anniversary of the Marauder marque. Out of the 15 built, we know the whereabouts of 12, an astonishing survival rate.
